Scissortail Rasbora / Seluang Gajah On Silau Spoon

One of the most beautiful freshwater fish. Usually can be found in clean, cold freshwater stream. We are not sure the real ID for this fish. Some say it is called Scissortail Rasbora.

Some websites say it can grow up to 8cm, but some claimed 15cm in length. Not sure whether they got it right on the species name because we do have some anglers caught way bigger than that; over 15cm in length. So, it remains question mark of the fish ID for us. Anyone?

In Malaysia it is known as Seluang Gajah. Some other local names are Nyenyuar, Nyuar-Nyuar and Seluang Juwo. This fish caught by our Pro Staff Zamisma Abu using Silau spoon during stream fishing trip.
