I’m the type of angler who loves to challenge myself – the more people say it’s impossible, the more I want to prove that “it’s all about skill and timing.” But before attempting anything, I make sure to research, learn, and understand the species I’m targeting. Preparation is key.
The first thing I train myself to do is stay alert and control the fish as quickly as possible before it escapes or cuts the line on the structures.
The best advise?
Turn the fish’s head toward you ASAP. Delay even a second, and you risk losing it – literally “makan asap”! 😛 This combination of experience and instinct is what sets me apart.
Of course, challenges come with consequences. During one ultralight session, countless buzz baits flew just trying to land a single Toman. That’s why downsizing poundage gradually is crucial – don’t jump straight. If you don’t understand the basics, you won’t succeed.
